The Hardest PolyTrack Tracks
Thirty community tracks that have broken controllers, keyboards and a good number of evenings. Every one is rated Expert or Impossible inside the game. Under each track we explain the exact thing that ends runs, so you know what you are walking into before you import it.
How this list is built
The in-game difficulty label comes first
Only tracks rated Expert or Impossible appear here. That removes the argument about whether a Medium map is secretly hard and keeps the list honest about what it is measuring.
Then how many people actually tried it
Inside each tier we sort by copies. A track thousands of players have imported has been tested properly; a track with twelve copies tells us nothing, because nobody knows whether it is hard or just unfinished.
Finally, what the track does to you
Every note below is written from the track itself: the specific trick, corner or glitch that ends runs. If we cannot point at the reason, the track does not belong on the list.
- 1

Community Track #52
Impossibleby Community · Stunt · 6,652 copies
Runs on the deprecated V2 engine format, so the handling fights you as hard as the layout does. Most players never get a clean run at all.
- 2

Community Track #81
Impossibleby Community · Racing · 5,773 copies
No gimmicks or lucky jumps, just mathematically tight geometry. Brake half a second late and the run is already gone.
- 3

Community Track #134
Impossibleby Community · Speedrun · 5,121 copies
A straight-line sprint where the road is a violently oscillating sine wave. You are airborne most of the way with almost no input room.
- 4

Community Track #91
Impossibleby Community · Racing · 5,060 copies
High-speed straights stitched to aggressively tight corners. Nothing tricky to learn: you either have the pace or you do not.
- 5

Community Track #140
Impossibleby Community · Drift · 4,539 copies
Back-to-back blind 90 degree slides inside a cramped industrial block. You never see the exit of the corner you are sliding through.
- 6

Community Track #3
Impossibleby Community · Technical · 4,219 copies
Endless micro-adjustments over uneven, awkward geometry. The car is always shifting weight exactly when you need it planted.
- 7

Community Track #16
Impossibleby Community · Racing · 4,029 copies
A 35,000 block marathon simply titled "hard". Finishing means holding full concentration for minutes without a single reset.
- 8

Community Track #59
Impossibleby Community · Speedrun · 3,848 copies
Looks like a normal full-speed sprint until the speed gets high enough that the game's own aerodynamics start misbehaving.
- 9

Community Track #141
Impossibleby Community · Racing · 3,730 copies
Textures and scenery are placed to hide braking markers and flatten your sense of depth. A track you learn by crashing into it.
- 10

Community Track #130
Impossibleby Community · Drift · 3,686 copies
Built around a drift glitch that folds the surface over itself, so you spend whole corners sliding on the underside of the road.
- 11

Community Track #9
Impossibleby Community · Speedrun · 3,290 copies
The creator named it "Impossible to Beat 1.0" and the name has held up. Relentless speed with no forgiving section anywhere.
- 12

Community Track #115
Impossibleby Community · Drift · 2,782 copies
No straightaways at all. You are sliding from the first corner to the last, and a single lift sends you into the wall.
- 13

Community Track #21
Impossibleby Community · Racing · 2,660 copies
"Hard Pro" takes the most technical parts of the game and stretches them over a marathon course. Pacing matters as much as precision.
- 14

Community Track #86
Impossibleby Community · Racing · 2,380 copies
Plays like a rhythm game wearing a racing game's clothes. The flow is smooth, which means every mistake is yours.
- 15

Community Track #135
Impossibleby Community · Drift · 2,335 copies
Micro-drifting instead of long arcs: constant tiny corrections where a normal drift would just spin you out.
- 16

Community Track #54
Impossibleby Community · Speedrun · 1,865 copies
A famous oddity that standard track tools reportedly cannot even parse, yet it loads and runs in game without a hitch.
- 17

Community Track #22
Impossibleby Community · Stunt · 1,640 copies
The 43,000 block "Hard Pro" geometry reworked into aerial stunts. Most of the difficulty is staying in control while airborne.
- 18

Community Track #61
Impossibleby Community · Racing · 1,605 copies
Nothing unfair here, just machine-like consistency demanded over a long layout. Fatigue is the real boss.
- 19

Community Track #1
Impossibleby Community · Racing · 1,513 copies
The original forum nightmare. A high-frequency technical gauntlet that only rewards muscle memory built over many hours.
- 20

Community Track #123
Impossibleby Community · Technical · 1,287 copies
Zero margin everywhere: no run-off areas, no grass verges, no alternate lines. One wheel off and the attempt is over.
- 21

Community Track #50
Expertby Community · Drift · 5,694 copies
A legacy V1-era drift slider that predates the current physics. Modern drift habits actively work against you here.
- 22

Community Track #10
Expertby Community · Drift · 5,210 copies
Consecutive high-angle slides where linking one drift into the next is not style, it is the only way to survive.
- 23

Community Track #31
Expertby Community · Racing · 4,899 copies
"WHICH WAY???" is a labyrinth of false paths and split-second route calls. The hard part is remembering the right one.
- 24

Community Track #2
Expertby Community · Stunt · 4,171 copies
Saved internally as "medium1", which is the joke. A stunt-racing hybrid that punishes bad air as hard as bad lines.
- 25

Community Track #25
Expertby Community · Drift · 4,039 copies
A 14,000 block drift marathon the creator only named "wow". Long enough that consistency beats raw skill.
- 26

Community Track #129
Expertby Community · Speedrun · 2,713 copies
One long descending spiral. You spend nearly the whole lap turning slightly one way while hunting terminal speed.
- 27

Community Track #128
Expertby Community · Technical · 2,503 copies
Sharp angular intersections and sudden elevation drops instead of sweepers. More of a logic puzzle than a race.
- 28

Community Track #20
Expertby Community · Drift · 2,315 copies
"Modified generation" throws absurd slide angles at you with no rhythm to learn. Widely called one of the sweatiest drift maps around.
- 29

Community Track #108
Expertby Community · Technical · 2,082 copies
Segmented precision tests with no flow between them. Every obstacle is a separate exam you have to memorise.
- 30

Community Track #38
Expertby Community · Technical · 1,648 copies
Named ":)" by its creator. Looks simple in the overview and hides physics-breaking traps in plain sight.
Why “nobody has finished it” does not mean “hardest”
The obvious way to rank difficulty is to count how many people have beaten a track: fewer clears, harder track. In practice that ranks obscurity, not difficulty. A map that was uploaded last week and copied four times will look impossible next to a genuinely brutal classic that thousands of players have ground through.
So we lean on the game’s own difficulty rating for the first cut, then on how many players have copied a track for the second, and only then on our own reading of the layout. The tracks near the top of this page are the ones that are both rated Impossible and have been tried by thousands of people and still hold up.
A clearing board with real finish counts and times is a bigger feature than a list. PolyTrack does not expose race results, so any leaderboard has to be built from results players submit themselves, plus a way to check them. We would rather ship this honest list now than a half-empty board.
How to survive your first one
- 1.Learn one section at a time. Pick the checkpoint right before the part that keeps killing you and reset there until it feels boring. Full runs come later.
- 2.Drive slower than you want to. Most Impossible tracks punish speed you cannot control, not speed you have not found yet.
- 3.Watch your own ghost, not a world record. Your ghost shows the mistake you actually make; a record run shows inputs you cannot repeat yet.
- 4.Stop while you are still calm. Long tracks like Community Track #16 are decided in the last two minutes, and those are decided by how tired you are.
Questions people ask about hard tracks
What is the hardest PolyTrack track?+
Community Track #52 sits at the top of our list. It was built for an older version of the game, so the car behaves differently from everything you have learned since. Community Track #81 and Community Track #134 are close behind it, and both are rated Impossible inside the game itself.
Are Impossible tracks in PolyTrack actually impossible?+
No. The label means "almost nobody finishes it", not "nobody can". Almost every Impossible track on this page has at least one recorded clear. Several were deliberately built to sit just past the edge of what the physics allows, which is exactly what makes them interesting.
How long does it take to finish an Impossible track?+
Hours, not minutes. Most players spend their first hour learning a single section. The long ones, like Community Track #16 and Community Track #22, need stamina as much as skill, so people usually clear them in sections before attempting a full run.
Do I need a special car or setup for these tracks?+
No. PolyTrack uses one handling model, so a hard track is hard for everybody. What changes between players is the input device: a controller makes small steering corrections easier, a keyboard is quicker for tracks that need rapid taps. Pick whichever you already feel at home with before you start.
Why is a track I found hard not on this list?+
We only rank tracks that the game itself rates Expert or Impossible, and we order them by how many players have copied them. A brutal track that almost nobody has tried will not appear near the top, because we cannot tell whether it is hard or simply unknown. We would rather leave a track out than send people into something broken.
